So. For all of you who do not watch Dancing with the Stars...you might not have heard the news. The no good, very bad, terrible, horrible, awful news.
Maks is out.
Now before you start snickering...he wasn't VOTED out. His partner, Misty May Treanor, was injured during rehearsal. She was injured so badly that she is out of the competition....which means my boyfriend is out too. *sigh* Such injustice! Not to mention the fact that this woman is an amazing, Olympic gold medalist volleyball player...and she gets HURT DANCING on a game show?! She was to be some kind of po'd. But not as po'd as yours truly now that Maks is out. No more of this?!

No fair. If you didn't see the video or just don't watch DWTS...you MUST watch the first 55 seconds of this video. Seriously. You can actually HEAR her achilles tendon pop. It is crazy.

That's painful !!! Looks as though the achilles tendon has completely ruptured, as that is when you get that loud pop.
ReplyDeleteI've had a partial rupture of the tendon, playing field hockey. I was in a plaster cast for 8 weeks.
Hope she makes a quick recovery...
I saw part of the show last night. Or was it the night before? My nights runneth together. I felt sorry for both of you. I only watch it when nothing else is on and I'm crazy bored or if Shawn's home and insists upon it. Just not my fav. Do love some Maks though.

And Cloris goes on--and that pitifully stiff Susan Lucci.I do think that Warren is doing so well but my poor little Rocco is gathering no fans on the judges' table.And I agreed that young Cody played too much air guitar withthe lovely legs of Julianna Hough! I think Brooke is going to go all the way. Derek must be a great teacher. Do you think he might be---uh, less than masculine? Just curious.....

ReplyDeleteI felt SOOO bad for them both. Misty was trying to hold it together on stage and Maks even showed emotion. Don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY love him but he does come off as a jerk sometimes.

ReplyDeleteMaks will be back on the vote off nights to dance with the professionals I'm sure...you'll have to tivo it and watch it over and over and over.....well, that's what I'm going to do anyway....
I saw that Misty May got injured and felt bad for her... but that was before I saw her dancing partner... now I feel really bad for her!! He's yummy!
