There are currently 440 school and church cancellations and delays for central Indiana. Why? Because it's so freaking cold! Some areas of the state got several inches of snow. Notsomuch here. But it is crazy cold and crazy windy here.
Thankfully, my school is on that list! That's right, my friends. I get an extra 2 hours in the morning. Oh, how I love a 2-hour delay.
Now keep your fingers crossed that Little Miss doesn't stay up sick all night. She complained all day long at daycare about her stomach hurting. She didn't eat ANY of her lunch. Those of you who actually know her know that she must be very, very sick.
She spent most of the evening on the couch until she walked up to me, stuck her finger in my face and said, "I have poop juice on my finger." Grrreat.
She had diarrhea about 3 times in the toilet. That doesn't count the poop juice on the finger or the diarrhea in the bathtub. Seriously. It also doesn't include the diarrhea that is currently on Farm Guy's pillow. She was, unfortunately, sitting on his pillow while watching TV and got a little poop juice on the pillow as well.
So basically I am up to my ears in poop juice and really hoping she sleeps all night and doesn't suddenly start projectile vomiting. Or worse. I did make her wear a Pull-Up tonight because the poop juice was beyond her control. She was totally annoyed with the Pull-Up but got over it quickly. Thankfully.
Wish me luck that I can sleep through the night with no bodily fluids to worry about and that I can enjoy my first 2-hour delay of the season!
oh lordy! our 4 yroldsone came to us the other day and said there was juice in his butt...
ReplyDeletemakes sense to them i guess!
My friend...it's going around.
ReplyDeleteLibbey woke me at 3 am last night, saying, "I had to throw up but I swallowed it back down..." So we put her in bed with us.
Before 4 am I was covered in puke. Me, Lib, Scott, the mattress, the sheets, the blanket, the quilt...oh, and we had pinto beans and cornbread for supper. Good. Freakin'. Times.
So she stayed home all day today...and we spent a lot of time in the bathroom. Puking.
Hope the Russian Immigrant is feeling better soon!
p.s. We are on 2-hour delays for the rest of the week--wahoo!
My oldest has never called it that but then it's been awhile since he's been sick like that.
ReplyDeleteBetween you and Lula I am really freakin grossed out over here!
ReplyDeleteYeah, bad stuff has been going around here too ( thank goodness not on anyone's finger and not concerning pinto beans) Can't wait till spring!
Poor little thing. OH, man, though, poop juice has me spitting my super back up. I hate poop juice.
ReplyDeletePoor things, I hope your daughter feels better soon. Wow, that sounds super cold, especially it was 80 at our house today. I remember cold winters growing up in Cincy. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAwe, poor thing...hope your little miss starts feeling better:)
ReplyDeleteTotally thought you lived in Indiana..lol..because we always have the same weather reports..but I LOVE all this feezing, snow stuff!
Poor lil Miss...I hope she gets better really soon. I do like her coining the phrase 'poop juice'.....she's so clever.
ReplyDeleteI hope she's better in the morning and you all get to sleep in....and most of all....I hope the rest of you don't get the poop juice issues.....seems like its that time of year!
YIKES!! Hugs and sunshine headed your way straight from Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteThat's so awful!! I miss those days of having little ones around getting sick ... oh, er, just having a moment here.
ReplyDeleteNever mind. I love when THEIR little ones come and visit, but I don't miss those sleepless nights worrying when they were my litte ones.
That is all the school gave you was a 2 hour delay! Can't they give you the day off. Our school district is still open. They haven't canceled yet.
ReplyDeleteI hope your little one feels better and you both sleep through the night.
Totally laughing at the "poop juice." My 6 year old has had it for almost 6 days!! It really does need to leave. Poor guy....he was in the shower to clean up his "poop juice" and started throwing up. I felt so sorry for him!!
ReplyDeleteStay warm and healthy!!
Ewww. Just ewww. We moms lead such glamourous lives...
ReplyDeletePoop Juice! Good Lord! That's nasty! But at least you didn't catch her eating it! GROSS!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope she feels better sooooon, poor Little Miss.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should call in sick and stay home where it's warm, no poop popsicles :(
I'm dying about her saying POOP JUICE! lol But I hope she's all better soon.
ReplyDeleteEWW, but thank goodness for 2 hour delays. Hope her poop juice is all better by now. You will tell Farm Guy it was on his pillow? right?
ReplyDeleteIf not, that would make him a .... head LOL. Hope you have a good day !
Ewww! BRAT diet, here she comes! Noah had a day of that last week, but it didn't last long. Thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteYAY for delay. Let's see, bell will ring at 10:20, at which time my kids will go to art. Come back for math, then lunch! And choir this PM!
I hope that she is better soon. My 3 yr old has not been sick like that since she was 13 months old. And WOW it was bad. I feel for you.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs your way.
xoxo
PS I have a giveaway on my blog for V-day. Would love to see you there.
Poop juice... thankfully we've never had an issue with the poop juice ever being anywhere other than the toilet, but Gert does call it "Fast poop"
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope she feels better. That sounds awful. Our ERs are full w/ people and the flu :(
ReplyDeleteOh, Man! Bummer. You have the exact opposite problem we struggled with last week. I really don't know which is worse. They both make the little ones miserable. Hope things solidify quickly for Lil Miss and she feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteStay warm, too!
I hate poop juice and all the places that it never seems to end up in that are not the toilet. Hand in there lady, this too shall pass.....okay I thought that was funny.
ReplyDeleteSo what is a 2 hour delay anyway? You get all ready to go to school and then wait 2 hours to see if you really get to go?
Y'all really have been having ridiculously cold weather! Stay warm and take care of your little one :( I hope she's feeling better REALLY soon...
ReplyDeletepoor little darlin'. a blow to the ego as well as a blow to the belly....i certainly hope she is better and real soon. poor lil stink.....
