*that only big dorks know it is Square Root Day?
*that I drove by 5 (count them...5!) police officers on patrol today and got ZERO speeding tickets?!
*that I was on "auto-pilot" today absorbed in my thoughts and drove home? Before picking up the kids?! Mother of the Year indeed.
*that right after daycare, my daughter immediately changed into an evening gown, high heels, jewelry, and concealer that can only be described as pumpkin-like?
*that I now have concealer all over my couch and carpet?
*that I have 8 school days until Spring Break?
*that I gave chocolate up for Lent but only lasted about 4 days?
*that I need to decide on something different to give up for Lent (really...how am I supposed to give up chocolate during state testing week AND Cadbury egg season?! I had no chance.)
*that it takes all kinds of people to make this world go 'round?
*that this is a freaking hilarious commercial?
*that it is 8:50 and combined with the fact that I enjoyed a frosty mug full of a delicious wine-like beverage, it is now bedtime?
What a cute little pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteNo need to try win my MOTY title. Leaving them at the sitters, not so bad! Loving the concealer!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! My daughter had a little dress up time of her own today! (Which I also just blogged about!)
ReplyDeleteLittle girls are so much fun!
YES! Somehow I knew it was square root day, but not because I am brilliant like you. No sirrreee!
ReplyDeletethat is so cute! what an adorable little pumpkin. i used to do that with my moms make up all the time when i was little and it would make my dad so mad. haha.
ReplyDeletehee hee, too funny!
ReplyDeletedid you know that 3/14 is pi day?
i usually make pie with the kids that day at school!
She is absolutely glowing:)
ReplyDeleteOMG on Claire. I think you should start now making the montage you will show at her rehearsal dinner. It will be hours long and very entertaining. Do YOU wear that color???
ReplyDeleteHad no clue about square root day. Since I'm off my daily prompt I have no clue what day it is. Not that my kids would've "gotten it" if I had attempted to explain it today. Not unless it involves weaponry or crawling or flicking things.
Good for you for missing the speed traps. That road to the blinking light is ridiculous.
I didn't give anything up for Lent. I'm writing down all of my food each day. Every bite. And can I say it's *#^@ing frightening. No wonder. That's all I can say. You know how I feel about the eggs. I have given up the choc before, but not this year. I'm not THAT delusional.
You and your mug! I'm thinking about a glass.
That is funny--the concealer, oh my!!
ReplyDeleteAnd they said on our local news...."today is Square Root day" My 1st grader asked what that was and I told him to call his MeMe--she is a HS math teacher. Imagine explaining square roots to a 6 year old??
Our testing is over until April-YAY!! And Spring Break is 3 school days away!!
The commercial was funny...but that concealer face is PRICELESS! I'm gonna be laughing about that one all day. She is gotta be my favorite little nugget of all time!
ReplyDeleteStinkin LOVE that concealer-HIlarious!
ReplyDeleteOh bless her little orange faced heart.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen that commercial before. Funny!
I didn't know today was Pi day. Cool!
Mmm. love the concealer... it's SO her color.
ReplyDeleteif she were an oompa loompa :)
Love the little pumpkin head! She looks flawless. MOTY award went to someone else yesterday lol. Good job on not getting a speeding ticket!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cool for knowing that it was square root day!! My hubby called me a nerd!
ReplyDeletetsk tsk...never ever ever give up chocolate...it's good for your heart and hormones and mental well being. :)
Thanks so much for sharing this peek into your life. I think it's one of the things blogging does best -- shows us that we're all much more alike than different. Hope the concealer cleanup went well!
ReplyDeletepopped over from nikkicrumpet... So glad I did!
ReplyDelete1st, can't believe I missed square root day! I am a math teacher, and we had a snow day on Monday!
2nd, my girls (5 adn 8) never last more than 15 minutes in regular clothes after school before they are in something odd.
3rd, wait till she gets her first make-up kit. The tinkerbell kind with GLITTER! and BLUE EYESHADOW! It's coming.. I promise! Your entire house will sparkle! lol!
That commercial is hysterical. Thankfully, and my computer screen is thankful too, I had swallowed my coffee before the fly exited. :-)
ReplyDeleteClaire looks so cute ...love the pumpkin tinge :-)
If it makes you feel any better, I once left the twins sitting outside the netball courts, for TWO hours. I forgot that I had to pick them up after Christina's practice and went grocery shopping instead. Twenty years on, I still feel guilty. The fact that my daughter reminds me of it, anytime she can, probably doesn't help either!!!
She is such a cutie! I love those cheeks. Ok, I can't get within a 15 mile radius of the police without getting some kind of citation! Good for you for avoiding them!
ReplyDeleteMan, I missed Square Root Day! Too funny. I had to stop by and tell you about the April Scholastic order - Lucky version. There's a John Deere Drive Green computer game in it for $15. I thought of you when I saw it!
ReplyDeleteIt was only 11:20ish when I posted my comment, and I was so tired I said Pi day instead of square root day.
ReplyDeleteYup. One ought not post comments on others blogs when tired. That's proof.
Girl...why in the world do you have concealer that color? My Goodness that baby is orange! LOL!
ReplyDeleteVery funny stuff there:)
Love the make up. Hope it goes with your home decor.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Have a great Thursday!
ReplyDeleteI have had to re-wash my bedding, comforter and pillow cases several times due to concealer!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the concealer pic! precious!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that is a lot of concealer! Makes me glad I don't wear make-up. ;)
ReplyDeleteLoving her make-up... so classy, and that orange, it goes perfectly with her eyes...
ReplyDeleteI considered giving up chocolate for Lent, but I'm with you, not during cadbury season. NO WAY
I am new here! What a great blog :)
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the orange child! You are hilarious...and so is that commercial! Thanks...I definitely needed a laugh!
ReplyDeleteWyat is now determined to swallow a fly to see if that would really work!
ReplyDeleteI see someone has a bright future ahead of them at the Walgreens cosmetic counter!!
My kids sit very very quiet in the backseat of the car because they know if they don't make a peep, I'll forget they are there and drive right past the pre-school! Then they yell, "Mommy! Do you even know where you're going?"
ReplyDeleteI just popped in from SITS...love your blog!!!
Cutest pumpkin ever! :)
