The Escape Artist

You guys. I finished this book in less than 12 hours. Seriously. I started reading it at 1:00 p.m. while waiting for an oil change. I continued reading while the kids played at the library, then the gymnastics center, finishing it up at about 11:30 last night.

It was so good.

I fell in love with Diane Chamberlain's books when I first read The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes.
Since then, I've read several of her books. Some good. Some not so good.

This one? Was definitely good.

The summary:

Susanna Miller has just lost custody of her 11 month old to her ex and his new attorney wife due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, not because she is a bad mom. The night before she is to give up her son, she puts her escape plan into action. She starts driving east and doesn't look back. Once settled into her new life as Kim Sutton, she comes upon a computer with frightening evidence and her new found friend looks to be guilty of some horrific crimes.

This book was incredibly difficult to put down. Although I had pretty much figured out the computer evidence, I was so eager to find out how it would all end. Would the ex's new wife finally come to her senses? Would Susanna lose Tyler forever?

I highly recommend you read to find out! If you have a Kindle, you can get the e-edition for only $4.99. Just click here! Nook users? $4.99 for you too! Just click here!

Thanks for the tip -- may just have to download! I'll do a blog in the next few days of books I've recently read and enjoyed. Love hearing real people's opinions on what's good to read!

Merrie-Me too! My BFF and I have been talking about starting a book club/review blog but just haven't had time to start it yet. I love getting book ideas to add to my list.
