Random It Is

I have so many thoughts going through my head but individually...they don't really make a blog post. Collectively? A big mess of random.

Like the fact that this guy is a major douchebag.

And this? Makes me very sad. Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Point Break...some of my favorite movies. And is there a 30 something woman alive that doesn't get that special tingle when Johnny throws Baby's arm up over his shoulder, caressing her all the way down...

*sigh*

And then there's school. Today my 5th/6th graders met their K buddies. Melted my heart is what it did. To see my big, tough 6th graders walking hand-in-hand with 5 year olds? So awesome. And to hear the K kids? It's so different for me now that Cole is in K. I can relate...I have a reference point. One of the K girls told her 5th grade buddy that she could count to 32 with her eyes closed! How freaking cute is that?!

2 days of "human growth" down...1 to go. Monday's session went much better. The kids got over the initial shock of the genitalia being flashed upon the big screen and were able to handle the second video with much less giggling. Most of the questions I got were appropriate...except when one boy asked if it was illegal to um, "have relations" with an animal.

Moving on.

The Little Miss turns 4 on Saturday. 4 years old. On one hand, I'm like, "Seriously? She's only 4? I could have sworn she was about 13 what with the attitude and strong opinions about pretty much everything." But on the other hand I'm all, "4? 4 years old? I could have sworn I gave birth to her last week."

That's pretty much what's up with me. Actually, I have several more random thoughts to share. But guess what? It's 9:37 p.m. And getting up at 5:00 a.m., teaching all day, being a mom, cooking supper, and getting the kids to bed is wearing.my.ass.out.

What's up with you?

Happy Birthday to your baby! 4 does seem old!
My Kindergartener has a 3rd grade "book buddy" and it is SOOOO CUTE to hear him talk all about his book buddy. I asked him what his name was and Jack said, "I don't know". I said next time just tell him your name and ask him his. Jack looked at me like I had 2 heads and said, "He already knows my name!"
And I agree...sad about PS and would probably give Kayne a good A55-kicking if I ever run into him in a dark alley.

I heard Katy Perry comment that what Kanye did to Taylor was like stepping on a kitten. Sounded about right.
Love the pic of little miss.
LOVE the comment of counting to 32 with her eyes closed ! how adorable.
Glad the human growth and development is going better, too bad they don't have to have a passing grade before being allowed to reproduce.

You know what's up with me, so we shall skip that.
Kanye=douchebag.
Nobody puts baby in a corner! I'm sad too.
LOVE K buddies!
HG&D...I betcha I could guess which one asked that! Scary thought.
And Claire. Oh Claire. A girl after our own anal hearts. Love her...happy birthday to her! I agree, she does seem 13, but I also can't believe she's 4. I'm NOT aging, so I don't know how these kids keep doing it!
My ass is kicked too, so don't feel bad. Except I get up later and don't cook much. And stay up way too late so rely on Diet Dew in the morning.

She is truly the most photogenic child. I love her outfit. Most snazzy!

With an animal? Egads. Did you answer or just give him the look??

And with me? Well...I am having surgery tomorrow to finally rid myself of this blasted kidney stone that refuses to pass.

What a loss, she said. What she saw first hand, the love story between he and his wife. The actions of how he treated EVERYONE. His life ended so young.

I absolutely agree with each one of your random thoughts. My daughters are 25 and 22 and I still look at them, like, "Seriously???"

I read the "Me and My Boys" blog, and the owner had a mention of your blog today, so I headed on over to check it out, and I love it here!! You do good work. :)

I can totally relate to the K/6th grade, hand-holding scenario. I had the same thing going on a few years back, and it still makes me smile.

Wait until you drop your high-schooler off at school and they give you a smooch on the cheek...in front of their friends. Fantastic stuff, that.

Happy Thursday.

I can't believe she's 4 either....I swear you just posted that she turned 3 just a few weeks ago...ok, so I guess it really was a year ago.

I love hearing all of your random thoughts...and yes, Kanye is a douchebag.
