I got all of the supplies I needed at Hobby Lobby, came home, and went to town. And guess what? It worked!
I.was.crafty. Who knew I had it in me?!
You need: scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, glass marbles, foam brush, and magnets.
Look at this scrapbook paper. I was in awe walking down the aisle. I don't scrapbook, which I think is a very good thing. I could have spent my life savings (all $40 of it) on paper alone. You know how much I love anything office-y and this paper was calling my name!
Place the paper (design side down-yes, I kept doing it wrong!) on the marble. Let it dry completely.
Now for the magnets. I bought cheap craft roll magnet. It isn't quite strong enough to hold the marbles...all evening we heard them falling to the floor. I will make these again with stronger magnets. But for now...look how cute!

I used to make these all the time when I did Stampin' Up! They were quick and easy gifts for hostesses.
My mom made me (1) LOL magnet with my daughter's picture in it for christmas. It is so cute. I think I need to get on a spree and make a bunch like you. They are so cute!
Very cute! Look at you, getting your craft on. hehe
You know what's funny? I bought all that stuff last summer, but never did them, figuring I'd do them wrong and they wouldn't be as cute as the blog I was reading. You proved me wrong. I shall try them. Maybe this summer. LOL
This is a really great craft for the entire family. I swear when I get the supplies out the entire family flocks.
I love the one with Claire's name, very creative.
What a fun idea!! I am going to have to try these!
Have a great Sunday!
I'm not very crafty myself. I've never even heard of mod podge.lol
These look very cute though.
I am NOT CRAFTY, but my mom is!! She takes me to Hobby Lobby to help pick out paper....it is addicting.
I might be able to do this....I have been swearing that "next year" I am going to make Christmas presents. Maybe I should!!
LOVE it! I knew you had it in you! :-)
I just might have to make more magnets with letters in them. I love the names one you did!

Nice! I am not a very crafty person, but I think I could do this. (maybe)
Those look great. I've made them using pics of my kids and they make great gifts for the grandparents. Love that paper. I so love anything office supply wise too - could get lost in Office Depot or Offic Max for hours.
Too cute! I might have to try something like this sometime. Very nice, crafty mama!
I love this idea, Wyatt makes rings and necklaces that way too :)
Hobby Lobby?
For real?
What a great idea !!! Something I could do to keep Taylor entertained.
Off to Michaeals to enquire about 'Mod Podge' ...never heard of that before.. :-)
So cute! I want to make some now. I am enjoying my visit over here at your blog (the title enticed me over, I'll admit it - and I'm enjoying the visit).
I have my regular old blog and a challenge/crafty blog. Stop on by.
the challenge one is:
Order of the Opus Gluei and is at
opus-gluei.blogspot.com
I made about 100 of those magnets and sold them in a craft show! Yours are cute!
Love the word magnets! Great idea...
I made these for teacher Christmas gifts this year. you can also hot glue a tack on the back to make a matching push pin. The teachers loved them and my son helped pick out the design for each teacher. Sooo cute and soooo easy.
