I'm done!
Among the gift cards and school supplies I received as gifts today, there was a note that said this:
"Since meeting you a year ago, the way I feel about school has changed. I don't wake up in the mornings and say, 'Do I have to get up and go to school?'
Now I say, 'I am dressed and ready for school!'"
And that?
Is the best gift a teacher can receive.

Ahaww thats so cute! You should go to starbucks and get a giant coffee and pat yourself on the back :)
That is so special. You are totally the BEST and I sure wish you were in our underfunded trilingual school district!
I got teary!!! What a priceless gift. Parents recognize great teachers quite often, but how awesome that a student did too, and wasn't afraid to express it!
That is so nice! That must have really made your day!
That is awesome! I need to get my teacher gifts together.
They have helped me so much with my children. My appreciation really cannot be put into a gift.
woohoo! I finished up today too. My favorite thing to say to the parents? Tag, you're it!
What an inspiring teacher you must be! What an awesome compliment!
Awww - Congrats!!!!! Yeah for you! Look out summer HERE YOU COME!!!!
That is what it's all about & it says a ton & speaks volumes about you!!!
Congrats you make a difference!
That's totally AWESOME! Have a great summer!
Aww way to go ! Enjoy the summer !
But ... wait.
You missed, like, a MONTH of school because of snow. And you're finished before I am? I have another SIX DAMN SCHOOL DAYS, sister, PLUS graduation next Saturday.
I work in the wrong state. Clearly.
But enough about me.
Congratulations on reaching the end of this year's line. Enjoy your summer!
Awww. Let me guess....it was one of the boys who had me last year. LMAO
That is the best gift. It brought a tear to my eye.
Enjoy your summer:)
Yaaaayyy!!! I bet you woke up today thinking "Ahhhhh...."
That is a great card for a teacher to get! I didn't sign up for your giveaway--we already have WAY TOO MANY JD toys--so I thought I would give others the opportunity to win! Hope you can stop by my farm for a visit--and leave me a comment too! :)
I am a teacher too and things like that mean the most! Last Friday was my last day and I had all kinds of ambition on Monday, but it is slowly fading away.....
have a great summer!
Wow. That says a lot about what kind of teacher you are. You are making a difference.
Woohoo!! Enjoy your summer
What an awesome note! Laminate and save that one!
That is an awesome compliment..yay for you!
Congratulations on surviving another school year. Our year ends tomorrow at noon...and what a great gift from one of your students. It makes it all worth it, doesn't it?
Teachers don't get the respect they deserve, thank goodness someone put it in writing:)
AWE! So sweet! What a great thing for that kid to day. Mine is in 2nd grade and she complains all the time about school. When I ask her how school went she tells me it was BAD. Geez:(
That is so precious!! I got a little choked up there.
*sniff* Sometimes the smallest and cheapest gifts mean the most!
AWWWWW...... mine tell me they are planning to squirt me with a water gun on the last day since the principal can't punish them.
Well you must be doing a fabulous job...and it's so great that you know you're effecting a kids life in a positive way. Very good work woman!
That is truly the sweetest thing. You should frame it!
We always wrack our brains at the end of the year for teacher gifts...I need to get Madalyn to start writing notes to include with them...
Yay for you! I always loved the beginning of summer as a kid (and as a teacher). It was so freeing. Hope your summer is great!
You're awesome! Wish you here in Texas...you'd be sure to have one of my little ones!!
And our last day was last Saturday (yes, Saturday)...parents didn't want to make up our weather day on Memorial Day...go figure....
I love my boys' teachers. I knit scarves for the little guys teachers at Christmas to wear on the playground. When they have more than one teacher, I make my grandmother's coffee cake. I ♥ teachers who ♥ my boys! - great visuals on your blog!
I am done too. I got a sweet card from a girl in a class that always misbehaved. She thanked me for not giving up on them. It was so sweet. Also, got some hugs--this means a lot from high school kiddos. We have graduation tomorrow and I can honestly say that there are a few that I will definitely miss!!
That is the BIGGEST compliment! WOW!
and YEA!!!! You're done!
Wow! That is the best gift a teacher can receive. Great job and enjoy your summer!
That is indeed!!!! We ended the school year this week as well. It was sad for me to see the 8th graders leave and move up to high school. (I work with children with Aspergers)
Here from SITS by the way!
that is so sweet!!!!!
enjoy your summer!!!!
That is so awesome! You must really be an amazing teacher to inspire a student like that!
(Visiting from Sits by the way.)
I'm sitting here feeling like I must be PMSing because I teared up at that and then I realized that others said that same thing. That really IS a great teacher who can make a child feel that way!
We've had two really great teachers this year and luckily my K-er is in a K-1 class and will have the same one next year. I was worried because that could have gone either way.
My 3rd-grader has a wonderful lady who is retiring. He is also having the best year ever!
I didn't want to sign up for the JD giveaway, but I did have to tell you... your bio sounds so much like me!!! I LOVE office supplies AND organzing them (and everything) LOL! It is nice to meet you!
stopping by from SITS -
Enjoy your summer - sounds like you deserve it.

This is great! Stopping by from SITS!
Moments like that just make my heart melt! :) Congrats on being done for the summer!
Whee!!! I love summer so much I have already forgotten about the hellions from last year.
We have a teacher like that this year for my oldest. I make sure to tell her every time I see her how much of a difference she makes. It's so nice to hear it! Good for you for making a difference.
I know what you mean! It sounds like we have alot in common: teachers, john deere, farming, 2 kids...
Awww...that's great! What a compliment.
