Weekend of Wheat

It was a busy weekend around here. Remember this?

Well now it looks like this.

And this.

A lot goes into harvesting wheat.

You need to clean out the grain truck.

Fire up the combine.

After doing that for awhile, you'll need one of these.

And these.

For this.

Please keep in mind that while I sound rather involved, running the occasional farmer here and there on the Gator is pretty much the extent of my responsibilities. Well, that and making this.

And at the end of a long day, you might just get one of these.

And that makes for a pretty wonderful weekend.

Thanks to you and hubby; for putting in all the hard work for my breakfast of 100% whole wheat toast and coffee:) We sometimes take things for granted, but if you and hubby quit what would I eat. Thanks again keep up the good work.

Wow...just lovely and amazing. Love how Little Miss's dress is blowing up!
I told my son that you're the John Deere mom and showed him these pictures. His response, "Maybe I can go to camp there instead of our church."

Tracy-You're super sweet! I will let hubby know. I don't really do anything. ;)

Jen-Does a JD platform count for anything? :)

Emily-That is too cute! I wish he could camp here!

I think what your husband does is amazing, and I love watching how your son just idolizes what he does. You certainly have a future farmer on your hands!

I love your first wheat picture...so beautiful. Do you all just grow wheat? Can you imagine what that was like to harvest before that combine thing was invented??

I JUST LOVE your photos!!!!!!!!

Say, I'm almost ready to bring my blog back public after major tweaking, etc. I've even changed my name to ♥Boomer♥ -- though you can still call me MIMI or ... 'friend.'

Hope you're doing great!! Love this post!

I want to come to your house for a visit! Although I am convinced you will have to adopt my boys because they would not want to come home!

That would be the kind of farmer's wife I would want to be too. Riding a gator, and watching those beautiful fields, and baking an occaional pie;)

Love the bouquet!

My son would have a field day if he saw these pictures. He is obsessed with tractors. Has been since he was able to talk. And I've bought him all kinds of videos and now he can tell me the differences between them. (Like I would know if he's right or wrong on that.) LOL
