Excuse me while I get emotional

My baby starts kindergarten tomorrow.

I never really expected to get emotional about it.

But I also never expected to love anyone so much.

And tonight? When he told me he was nervous about kindergarten? I tried to fight back the tears. But I couldn't.

Because what I want to do is scoop him up in my arms and hold him.
All day long. No school, no teacher, no changes. Just us.

And part of me really wants to just push the stop button and keep him 5 forever.

But I know he must grow up and go to school.

And that he will love it. And they will love him.

If only I could get rid of this lump in my throat.

It seem so long ago since I went through my Little Man's 1st day of school. I was sad, a little teary eyed and then I got over it 5 minutes later and went to the coffee shop. Know what helps ~ keep your mind off of it. Come over and help me deal with the upcoming MIL visit. You know what those visits do to me ... I need all the help I can get. Ugh!

You brought tears to my eyes... I know I will feel exactly the same way in two years. They grow up too darn fast. Love the photos, he has the most amazing blue eyes!

Aww he will be fine. It is hard sending them into the world when they are so young. I KNOW. I still worry about mine.

I am crying thinking of my mom as she sends me off to college in about a week now. Seems like it was so long ago and the date has come up quickly.

We started 3rd grade today.

A bunch of moms got together and drank Mimosas.

It was a fabulous first day.

I can only imagine...I'll be there in just two short years! I can't wait to hear how his first day went...I'm sure he'll have all kinds of stories for you! Will he be going to school in your building?

Oh if they could only stay little for a while longer. The OP turns 7 soon and I just keep looking at her thinking, 'where did the time go?' So so sad. Be strong.

I put on my mascara 5 minutes ago, and now it's all over my face. Thanks a lot. I'm so with you, sister. I need a PAUSE button because it is so so good right now. I know they have to get older, but I don't want them to!

When my munchkin went to kindergarten last year, I remember him walking away - putting on a brave face - with his lower lip quivering. If he had cried it would have been easier, but watching him pretend to be confident just ripped me in two.

I must have stood in that lobby for 15 minutes after he walked away, and I cried the whole way home. But, as you know with your students, soon he was happy and made new friends. He came home with lots of stories and a big hug saved just for me.

He goes all day this year...so here we go again!

I'm feeling the same way. Last year was okay, only two days a week. We got away from each other for a while, it was more like a playdate. This kindergarten thing may be the end of me yet.

Good luck to you!

Awww Sorry Mom don't worry though you'll be okay and so will he! Just remember that as he gets older/bigger you'll get to see him learning all kinds of new things and you'll also get to witness the awesome adult that you helped shape!

He's got such pretty blue eyes!

I can't write anything you don't already know - the lump WILL go away, but come back every now and then for a while and your boy will be just fine.

He looks like a cute little boy and a fine (very) young man!

When I started school my mom said she cried the whole day. But when my sister started 4 years later my mom couldn't push her out the door and onto the bus fast enough. lol
