Over and Out

It's over.

My summer is over.

I start back to school tomorrow.

Hold me.

Remember this post? That I wrote in June? When I had just gotten out of school and was all, "I am not fit to be a SAHM. Get me back to work!"

Yeah.

I was just kidding.

I just want to stay home a little longer.

Waaaaahhhhh.

This summer was short, rainy, and cool.

And did I mention it wasn't long enough?

I spent my last few days of freedom with the kids. State fair. Park. Swimming. Lunch with Aunt Susie.

And now? I have to go set my alarm clock.

For 5:00 a.m.

Waaaaaaahhhh.

I'm sitting here crying and writing my feedback friday post about how upset I am about school starting and I hit my dashboard and this pops up. I'm with you, girl, it's a sad time for all. (but at least I get to sleep in until 6:45!)

Love your "I will not" list. I need one of those, and I only homeschool. Thanks for the smile.

What happened to our summers. I remember when I was young they gave us time to enjoy. Now we get started good and here comes Labor Day. I see no reason to start before then.
I just hope they never pass year round school.
Good luck on a great first day=)

Love that last pic!
Noah assures me that the holidays are coming up next.
I think we'll be okay. Until February. Have you seen the calendar? Not a day off in Feb to save our lives. Personal days!
I'll be gone so much for ICT and Addi, and you'll be over there teaching science all day...our days will fly by.
There. Positive attitude. Out.

My girls started back Monday. And I am usually quite happy to send them on their merry way. But this summer...it just flew by. I was not quite ready when Monday arrived.

OMG. The pic of your girl in her to-to is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

And I love the "lines" on the chalkboard. My son starts kinder, so I appreciate you not biting or kicking in class. LOL

You can do it!!

I hear you -- I really do. It's been nice having the summer off. Here's how it effects me:
- No lunches to be made
- No homework to enforce
- No reading logs to log in
- No real worries about bedtime
- No calls from the school about Charlie.

*sigh*
Back to it! Good luck to you, teacher!!

that last picture is stinking awesome!!!! I kind of feel the same way about summer, to a point.

by the way, my mom got my niece a shirt that said "Can I recycle my brother?" with a recycle symbol on it.

I wasn't ready for school to start either, but this year, both of my school age boys were ready for school so I just decided I would be, too. I don't like it, but they do, so we've all adjusted.

Good luck!

I'm sorry that you are sad about going back to school. I hope it lessens as time goes by.
Hey just wanted to let you know that I got my cool backpack from rungreen. It is most excellent for a snack pack when we go out to a ball game or what not. Thanks, I love it.

I knew your summer break was ending soon! Hope the start of the new year went well.

Our weather has turned all of a sudden, we have had a full week of sunshine and warm temps. Wouldn't you know it?

I feel your pain. I also have to say I LOVE your daughter's shirt in the first picture except mine would say I traded my kids for a Hershey. I think once you get back in the swing of things you'll be glad to be back at work. I am having a bit of anxiety not knowing what to do with myself, not having a job to return to this year. I haven't been a SAHM since my son was 3. He is starting second grade tomorrow and I have to return to school as a parent not a teacher. Like I said, feeling a bit anxious about the whole thing.
