Juan Carlos Miguel Jesus Fernando Rodriguez

Farm Guy managed to get Jackie to the vet this morning. Surgery went well and I can pick her up tomorrow after school. All day I have wondered if Fernando would be here when I got home. I didn't expect him to be. After all, his humping buddy was gone.

The kids are I pulled into the driveway today to find Bear....and Jesus! I have to admit...I was secretly hoping he would still be here. Not only is he here but he has moved in. He's been inside all night. Like he is on the couch asleep on the blanket right now. And just before that, he was asleep on Farm Guy's lap on the recliner. And before that? Beneath the kitchen table cleaning up from supper. Hmmmm. We are such suckers. I have decided that if he sticks around this weekend, we will set up the appointment to take care of his little humping issue and keep him here. For good.

However, a farm dog he isn't. Remember yesterday when I said he wasn't here all afternoon, but showed up late last night? Get this. We keep live animal traps at the barn down the road to keep the critters away. The bait? Cat food. Guess who got stuck in the trap yesterday? Aaahahahahaha. Thankfully Uncle M checked the trap before heading home for the night. Poor little Tico.

Speaking of the barn...this barn (about 1/10 of a mile down the road) is where the grain bins, most of the cattle, and much of the farm equipment is kept. We have had issues with thieves going in and stealing cables and wires. So, the guys put a lock and cable across the entrance. Last night someone cut the lock, took the keys to one of the big grain trucks (probably tried to steal it but it's hard to start) and took the gas from the truck. Bastardos.

Tomorrow is Friday! Can I get an amen?! Jeesh this has been a long-a$$ week. SO looking forward to catching up on my blog-reading and relaxing at home with my babies. And Farm Guy. And Hernando.

That is so funny about Tico being caught in the trap. Actually I like Fernando. And you could have the Abba song playing in the background...

Jose Andre...Rico, what ever the heck his name is...he's funny. I hope he sticks around, because he seems like a cooky cracker.

And, I can't believe someone stole your gas! And tried to steal your machinary. That's just wrong. Karma's gonna bite their butts one day.

I like all the names that poor dog has.
I can't believe some low life tried to steal your truck & has stolen other thing.
It makes me so MAD we work our butts off to have what we have & others just think they can take it.
I hope karma gets them BAD!!!
Have a nice relaxing weekend please!

I think you should just give him a new name every week.

And I can't believe someone would go to such lengths to break into your things. Sounds like it's time for some surveillance...

Yeah, I am glad Jose,Escobar,Fernado,Julio is still there. I can see him now, big ears flapping in the breeze as he and Bear and Jackie ride in the Gator. You need to design some live human trap to set down at the barn, of course then the bastardos that would be caught would sue you for kidnapping or unlawful containment LOL.

We did take a Gator ride last night and Jose sat in on our laps as content as can be. He loved it. Goofy little dog.

I've been reading every day wondering how school is going and getting the biggest kick out of your array of names for Paco Tico Taco (like Ricky Ticky Tavvey?).

UGH! I always hated it when things got stolen off the farm at my grandparents' place. And it's also a little creep that people are so blatant about coming on your property.

Happy Friday!

You are aware that neutering does NOT delete sex drive? After all, they remove their testicles, not their brains. They can't produce puppies but they can actually have sex and get 'stuck' together and all the other annoying dog things. Females can actually think they are in heat and throw off pheromones(sp). We have raised mini-dachshunds for 10+ years. This spring, we had everyone spayed/neutered. Things were going well until Libby thought she should be in heat(she has always loved having puppies). Our breeding male that had been neutered, complied with her demands--3 days in a row. Then it was over. I called our vet and he said he remove their sex organs not their brains which produce the hormones. However, no other female has done this and he says that these two will probably not do it again...Hopefully, chico falls into the larger group that gives up sex.......
P.S. our 12 yr. old male that was neutered when he was 2, still humps other dogs on occasion--never legs or other inappropriate things.......
Don't let this discourage you. Jaime is probably one the better dogs. After all, he chose your family, right?

I didn't mean to double amen to Friday. But doesn't Friday deserve it? I picked up the kids, and Noah had actually NAPPED! A full nap! Dawn and I both had little talks with him, but I'll give her the credit since I'm sure he wasn't listening to me. He's waiting up for Daddy, who's stopping at Penn Station subs on the way home from the airport. Wine time!

I just saw the Russian Peasant over on Tip Junkie! I think you're gonna win this one!

I'd like to LOUDLY triple that AMEN!!!!

Can't believe that someone tried to steal your truck then took the gas. Karma will find them in the end.

It's pretty obvious that you have been adopted by your little illegal Fernando. I think you need to call him Fernando .... I agree with Kat on that one!!!
