Sick and Tired

Little Miss is sick. Stuffy nose, hoarse little voice. Coughing and sneezing. And she came home with a nasty little rash on her neck. She is still adorable though. And rather quite bossy and demanding. Some things never change.

I am tired. Trying to get back into the swing of teaching, cooking, raising kids, grading papers, planning lessons. And I am exhausted. I was in bed at 8:47 last night. And it's only Tuesday.

Tractor Boy starts preschool tomorrow. He is super excited. The bookbag is packed and ready to go. I am sure he will do great but I can't wait to get the full report when I pick him up after my 2 blankity blank meetings after school.

Jackie the Cow is going to the vet tomorrow. Diego is using his last evening wisely...humping Jackie's shoulder. Humping Jackie's hip. Humping Jackie's head. The poor little guy just can't reach. If Rico doesn't stay around when Jackie comes back, I might just miss the little guy. He is super cute and friendly. Except when he licks Jackie in the spot he can't reach and then tries to lick your face. That my friends is not so cute. If Paco does stay, we will probably get him neutered and keep him. Or give him to my mom. And then we will have to settle on a name. Poor little Jose.

I thought of your mom when you first showed his picture, but I was afraid to mention it since she knows where I live and I think she could take me with ease.
Thanks for clearing up my confusion about dog menses today. I sometimes wonder if people walking by are just flat out disgusted by us.
I have a feeling that whole "stay til 4:15" thing will be more enforced this year. I think the ISTEP stuff will be helpful, but I have a feeling your 2nd meeting will not be. You all were having WAY too much fun during choir today when we were trying to do SILENT reading. Did I tell you I overheard one of my sweet girls who had me for reading last year informing her group that I'm nice, but sometimes I can get really really mean and yell? HA! Speaking of HA, those are the initials to the student who will drive me i.n.s.a.n.e this year. Lives with Mamaw (hate that word and he says it every 2.4 minutes), tells me random stupid stuff, doesn't do his homework but has a million excuses. As does Mamaw. Met her in the hall yesterday. But I'm having an easy year, so I'm not even gonna worry about it. But when I blog about HA, you'll know!
Sorry for ClaireBear. Sounds like she has what I/Addison/Noah had last week. It took a week, but we're all better.
Here's a gem to cheer you up--my mom called tonight and told me she figured out how to get Addison to crawl. What? You didn't realize my mom is a miracle worker and a physical therapist? Her advice...have Noah show her. Hmmm. We've been doing that for months. Noah thought of that himself, actually. Addison thinks it's hysterical, flips to her back and tries to backscoot on top of him.
And obviously I had a lot to tell you, nothing of any importance!

We have a foster dog named Kato, which reminds me of that guy in the OJ Simpson trial. So we call him everything BUT Kato. Paco has been used, Cleo, Frodo, you name it.

I could totally kick finding normals butt ! but, I wouldn't because I love her and her fam. She was right, Jose would fit right in around here and give Emilio a run for his kingdom. Hope Claire is better soon, and that Pre-cool goes well.

Oh, Paco/Rico/Jose, stop humping every body part you can reach. Jackie is out of your league, especially after her nuetering session. lol

The first couple of weeks are the most exhuasting of starting back to school. We start Monday. :o)

Awwwww - I hope she gets to feeling better soon.

LOL about the Jackie situation.

School IS exhausting and it's been harder to get into the swing of things this year than last.

With all that affection, I think his name might have to be changed to something more amorous...maybe Javier or Senior Montalban.

Hope Little Miss is feeling better and that Tractor Boy enjoyed his first day of preschool.

My middle one came home the other day...she had thrown up on the playground but was most upset that she got it in her "salt water" sandles...that was so fun to clean up!
Sorry to hear about your little lady...hope she feels better!
I also love the post about Jose...it was making me laugh so much!

I'm sorry things are so rough right now! It'll be better once everyone gets into a groove. It'll be Christmas before you know it!

UPDATE!!! How was preschool? Did Jackie the Cow show up in time for her date with the doc? Did no way Jose take off, or is he still humping around? How's Claire?
I NEEEEED TO KNOW!

And Delberta? I know you could, honey. I fear and respect you. But I do think it's high time Emilio got a little brother to liven things up. And I know Mr. Delberta would love nothing more!

Funny thing, but this week we inherited a cat. She sort of wandered into the house and miaowed at me. I'm obviously a sucker, because she is still here. Now we have 2 dogs and 2 cats ... sighhhh..

BTW ... hope the Little Miss is feeling better...

What is up with the summer cold? I remember when that just was not something that happened!! Michael came home yesterday with the runny nose and fever. Awesome.
