Mouse Tale

This morning I went into the bathroom to take a shower. I pulled back the shower curtain and found this in my bathtub.

A mouse. A real live for real mouse. In my bathtub frantically trying to get out. It would run up the side of the tub and slide back down. Apparently not a lot of traction on mouse feet. I freaked out, ran into the family room and grabbed the nearest killing machine.I grabbed Noodles, threw her into the bathroom, and slammed the door shut before she even know what was going on. I waited a minute, heard a few squeaks, and slowly opened the door.

She ran out with the mouse in her mouth. Hooray! Good kitty!

Then she dropped the mouse and it ran into the toys.

Sonofa! Bad kitty!

Jose and Bear joined in the search for the mouse. It was behind a bunch of toy tractors and a basket full of more toy tractors. At this point I was standing on the toilet in the other bathroom trying to put my makeup on all the while keeping an eye on the situation. My husband got down and started moving the toys out of the way.

Suddenly the mouse ran INSIDE the recliner. It out ran 2 dogs and a cat. I was still standing on the toilet sweating my makeup right off as my head was about 6 inches from the light.

Then Jose made his way under the recliner and chased the mouse out. Noodles grabbed it! Hooray! Good kitty!

She immediately drops it and the mouse runs under the couch.

Sonofa! Bad kitty!

At this point the kids were waking up and it was time to get them dressed and ready for daycare.

I am really hoping my husband and/or Noodles and/or Jose took care of the mouse after we left. Otherwise, I will spend the majority of my evening standing on furniture squealing like a city girl.

LOL I love the swearing at the cat. I guess next time leave them alone in the bathroom for a while to...uh...get things done.

Good luck Noodles!

This play by play was even funnier than the one you told me this AM! So no bloody carcass everywhere? That's good, I suppose.
Squeal away--I would be!

Oh no! Hope the mouse is gone by the afternoon. I hate little critters!

I am ROTFLOL!!! Never trust a cat with a mouse - they just want to play with the dang things anyway! Although my cat does eat various bugs that find there way inside - just not quickly enough for my taste :)

"Sonofa! Bad kitty!"

Muahahahahahaha ... hilarious.

You'll find the humor later, I am sure. Later, as in after the mouse's funeral.

Why do kitties toy with our emotions like that?? Seriously, it's like "I'm here to protect you...nah, kidding, I'm going to go lick my butt"

Here's hoping a dog nabbed it! :)

Someone apparently never learned it's rude to play with your food...

At least you have a "mouse killing machine". My mouse story is worse than yours. Haha. And yes, I didn't realize that mice like to climb into my furniture and come out the top. No fun!!!

Yeah ~ our dog keeps bringing in all sorts of things to 'play' with until they die and are left for the vaccum. Like I need any more ladybugs, flies or box elder bugs in the friggin house!

I'm sorry but that is seriously funny.
I hope that one of them took care of the situation for you.

So...what happened when you got home? I don't think my kitties would know what to do with a real live mouse. But they sure do like to run head first into our glass doors as they attempt to catch leaves blowing in the wind on the deck...

No dead mouse yet. Worthless cat. Maybe Jose ate him for a little snack before we got home...

Oh, you made me say a very, very bad word when I saw that mouse picture.
I hate those little varmints!
I hope someone took care of it today. Permanently!

I would have paid money to have seen your face when you saw the mouse in the tub. lol.
I bet Jose finished him off during the day. Did you check the kitchen trash can? Maybe Farm Guy got rid of it? LOL

I don't have a cat so I had to rely on the pest control to get rid of my "problem". Once the traps were down I never saw it again...and I don't care what happened to him. It's all good if you stay outside but once you are in my house then it's ON!

I hate rodents. They look all cute till they are running around your house. Mice are especially fun...not!!!

I hope that you do not have a new addition to the family, in the name of skeekers.:)

Your comment was before mine at SITS and thought I would drop by. I like your blog and will be back!

I hate mice. Seriously, what is with cats? Why can't they ever do what they are supposed to?

Dang it! This was a very funny story! Hope to hear tomorrow that the mouse was indeed caught.

LOL!!!!

Yeah, been there, done that! I lived in the "country" once, in an older home that got alot of mice this time of year. Had a cat too. BUT....she would rather play with them than kill them right away. Toys that MOVE ON THEIR OWN - COOL BEANS!!!

Eventually the poor mouse would die and then the cat would deliver her "trophy" at the foot of my bed!! Good times, good times.

Oh, I know how freaky they can be in your house....but poor mouse.

I recommend DCON.....just keep it where the kids, the cats and the dogs can't get it....like under a dresser or something....
