Saturday Silliness

So many of the blogs I read have families going through tremendous hardships and tragedies. People losing jobs, caring for sick children and spouses, people fighting cancer, losing spouses, and just today I read about the passing of little Tuesday.

Each time that I post something, it seems trivial and unmeaningful. But for that, I am thankful. I am thankful that my biggest problem is being snowed in for 5 days. That a messy living room is cause for a post. Because that means that my life is blessed. My children are happy and healthy. We have secure jobs. We have money for food and clothes. We are safe and warm.

This is my attempt at brightening your day. Whether you are happy and healthy or dealing with something bigger than one can imagine...I hope one of these pictures makes you smile.

Whether you're feeling sad

or ashamed...
confused
or overwhelmed...keep smiling.

If you are running late

or having a bad hair day, keep smiling.

If you're feeling bloated
or a little pooped, keep smiling.

If your child's school calls

or your insurance rates go up again, keep smiling.
If someone has hurt you
or made you mad, keep smiling.
If you're under the weather
or a little scatterbrained, keep smiling.
Remember, no matter what you're going through...it could be worse.

So...

You are so right! I know that 99% of what I post on my blog is totally meaningless and completely trivial when I see others who are struggling day after day just to survive whatever is going on in their lives. When I read that Tuesday had passed away, my heart broke.

Thanks for that post---yes, with all of the rough times folks are going through right now, we need to have some things that bring a giggle or two to our lives! Did you hear my giggles as I read your post? Well, they were bubbling out--even my kitty couldn't figure out what was going on! :)

Loved your photos in the previous post--Gads! They bring back memories!!! I could send my Little Pink Fairy over--she LOVES to put toys away!

Hope the snow is melting--we didn't get much (hurray) and the temps are climbing!!

Have a great weekend! Dana

Never sleep naked. What would be worse, being the guy on the ladder without clothes? or the poor fireman behind him helping him down. = )

Thanks for the giggle!!!

I used to like to sleep with.. not a lot on... but then realized that should a fire break out... well... yeah... that.

Oh my stinking goodness!!

K y hubby says, "Careful, careful." to the black dog.

I actually saw that sign that says you'll never make it on time. It was in Seattle.

AND that top kitty one is a SHOWER picture!!!! LOL That kitty isn't sad, it's being humiliated! LOL Do you see where that sprayer is??!

I've had laundry days like that.
I knew there was a reason I never became a fireman.

Have a great weekend :)
