Thursday Thirteen

We took a trip to the "big city" yesterday to go shopping. Just me and the kids. It went surprisingly well and for lunch...one of my favorite places. Here are thirteen things I love about Cheeseburger in Paradise.

1. Sweet potato chips

2. Mini hot dogs (The kids went crazy for these!)
3. The booths-They are huge and have little fencing on either side so it's very private especially when both kids are well, being kids...
4. Peach iced tea
5. Fried pickles

6. Very cute kids' coloring book and genuine Crayola crayons

7. Great service

8. Prices are very reasonable

9. It looks like a grain bin which made the Boy VERY excited to eat at the "farm restaurnaut" (He says it like a combination of restaurant and astronaut...it's very cute.)

10. Island quesadilla

11. Mini cheeseburgers

12. Atmosphere
13. Tropical drinks (I didn't have one at lunch yesterday with the kids...but oh man, are they good!)

Sorry about the spacing...Blogger is driving me insane this morning! More more great Thursday Thirteen lists, click here!

We don't have one of those here! My kids would go nuts for miniature hot dogs.

Z would LOVE the mini hot dogs.....

I would LOVE the fried pickles.....

Yes, blogger has a spacing issue which I wish they would fix.

I was just looking through the menu on the site ... we so SERIOUSLY need one of those here. The salads look so good, as does the rest of the menu.

Plus, I'm a parrothead from waaaay back!!

Grrrrrr...that was me posting the comment from 'Jay'. My hubby keeps forgetting to log out from Google. Usually I check, but this morning I've been having a go at making my first ever hand-made card for a friend's birthday and I completely forgot to check ..sighhh

Being from the south, am I allowed to say I've never tried fried pickles - or even heard of them until last Friday night. They're GGGRRREAT. I was really missing out. And Ooohhh, the mini hot dog. Can't believe I missed out on inventing that one - I'd be rich. The redhead would love those. Looks like a great place, i'll have to find the closest one to us.

I don't get blogger's spacing issues. Especially when you add pictures. Sets it all crazed. And then some of my paragraphs look single spaced and some double. And for numbered lists...sometimes there are spaces...and sometimes not.

But I digress. I took Katie with us to a Jimmy Buffet concert when she was 6 months old. We started them early. And I tell them that the song is called "let's get drunk and sew." Cause sewing is sooo fun when you are intoxicated :-)

But...we don't have this restaurant. But...Jimmy Buffet has a house up the street here on the island :-)

What a cute little place. We have nothing that fun here. Sonic is my kids favorite. Yuck. They eat in my car. :(

They are opening a Margaritaville Casino in Atlantic City. I will then have to try said items. :)

Fried Pickles - wow that is something new. I would love a place like that since we always get the look when we come in with our kids.
What a great day!!

I've never heard of that before, but it sounds fun! I love fancy drinks...but yeah, not at lunch with the kids! haha!

I love the shirt your older kid is wearing in the header...too funny!

Happy TT!

Tropical drinks and peach tea...I'm there!

There's a little family-owned restaurant on the square near here, and they serve peach-mango tea...the best!

Probably one of my favorite restauraunts ever! I LOVE the mini cheeseburgers, Sweet potato chips, and Chocolate Nachos. Their strawberry Pina Colada? My FAVORITE DRINK EVER! I like to sit out on the patio with my back to the street, because the traffic kinda sounds like the ocean if you're not looking at it, and I can pretend I'm on vacation :)

Please stop. You. Are. Killing. Me.

Yesterday it was Redbox rentals, today it's Cheeseburger in Paradise. I so wanna go there now. I mean, mentioning "Peach Iced Tea" is a deal-sealer for me. And Buster Poindexter.

Mmm, I could go for some fried pickles (dipped in ranch!) and a tropical drink right now!

I've never been to one, but it looks like a great place for kids!

The peached iced tea sounds wonderful. I love that stuff. Sweetened, of course.

I hate it when Blogger does weird spacing stuff. Drives me nuts!

I've always wanted to try a fried pickle.
We don't have one of those here =(
Thanks so much for the song sites!!!

Hey girl I'm tagging you!
You need to go to my blog to find out what you have to do!!!

You are so brave to do that alone! After a week of restauranting with 2 kids, I'm ready to actually cook! Although we should so do Big City with 2 kids again. After all, doesn't the teacher store miss us? And Flower Factory. And Panera. Or CIP.
I didn't know they had little hot dogs.
I was introduced to mojitos--a Cuban drink with mint and lime and so good I wanted to slap someone. Had one? OMG, they're my new favorite.

John Deere Mom said...

Deb-Mojitos? Oh yeah. Love them. I actually posted a pic of the mix I bought on one of my recipes. You can buy the mix pretty cheaply at Wal-Mart and just add rum. Mine was passion fruit. So good!
The kids and I hit Flower Factory, Old Time Pottery, teacher store, and CIP. But, I am always up for shopping (and will need the teacher store again before school starts) and we should do CIP. It's must less work than Panera.

Finding Normal said...

Yeah, Panera is work with all those damn kids, what with getting your own drinks, carrying the food, going back for more napkins, another spoon, yet more napkins. And some more napkins. Kids are great for the environment, aren't they!?!
I've never been to Old Time Pottery. Hmmm. I have no idea what I'd buy at the teacher store since I can't think about that yet. But we should go. We could do Monday, Wednesday or Thursday next week. Holla!
